The Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District announces the 3rd annual Bethesda Fine Arts Festival, a two-day event highlighting 130 contemporary artists who will sell their original fine art and fine craft. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 13 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, May 14, 2006 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission to the Bethesda Fine Arts Festival is free. Internationally-acclaimed artist Mindy Weisel has curated ‘Garden of Memories,’ an exhibit of the art of Paula Wachsstock, to be featured in the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington’s Goldman Art Gallery through May 14.

During the month of April, the G Street Doll Club will be exhibiting an exciting variety of handmade cloth dolls at the Friendship Heights Community Center in Chevy Chase. The G Street Doll Club, which meets at G Street Fabrics in Rockville, recently donated eleven handmade dolls, each costumed in red, to the American Heart Association for auction at their annual fundraising gala.

Heinmen Myers Gallery presents Connie Imboden show "Re-Formation" from April 8-May 13. Inaugural reception on April 8, from 5-8 p.m. Gallery hours are 12-6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.

"Sex, Friendship and the Revolution," a Posthumous Exhibit of Clay and Bronze Sculpture by Ella Tulin and New Work by Gallery Members, will be on display at Creative Partners Gallery, 4600 East-West Highway, Bethesda, from May 9 through June 3. "Hanging in the Balance” will be at Creative Partners Gallery, 4600 East-West Highway, Bethesda from June 6-July 8. Sculpture by Donna McCullough and new work by Gallery Members. Among the works showcased in this exhibition will be several of the austere yet ethereal metal dresses for which McCullough has earned great acclaim. Free exhibits of emerging artist work and art sales at the Yellow Barn Studio and Gallery.
