Clarendon House, a center for community-based mentally ill adults, held a talent show Thursday. Clarendon House tries to prevent those using its services from having unnecessary hospitalizations. It also encourages these adults, its members, to overcome serious mental illness through leading productive and independent lives. It provides art classes, counseling, social events and medical and psychiatric services. On Thursday, some of its members' paintings, photos and handicrafts were on display. In addition, several members displayed their music and other performing-arts skills.
