Inova Loudoun Mobile Health Services will hold flu shot clinics October-November for the residents. The cost is $25 person with inoculations for children from age 4 to adult. Children between the ages of 4-17 will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Senior citizens with a valid Medicare Part B card can receive inoculation at no charge. The Greater Chesapeake & Potomac (GC&P) Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross is launching a "Be a Superhero" campaign. The GC&P Region is offering all participants at any blood drive or donor center through Oct. 31, a "Superhero" T-shirt. Call 1-800-GIVE LIFE to schedule a blood donation appointment. The Loudoun HealthCare's Mobile Health Van visits the Senior Center at Cascades Marketplace, 21060 Whitfield Place, Sterling, the second and fourth Tuesdays each month, from 9:30 a.m.-noon, to take blood pressure and glucose testing along with other medical needs. 703-430-2397.

The Loudoun County CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder) parents support group will meet the second Tuesday of every month, from 7:15-8:30 p.m. SuccessLab Learning Centers is hosting the meetings and providing refreshments. SuccessLab is located at 20660 Ashburn Road in Old Town Ashburn near the fire station.

The purpose of the support group is to provide a place where parents can come to be heard, be understood and help each other with their struggles and also learn about the amazing qualities children with ADHD possess. The Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross is seeking blood donations, especially types O and B blood. Donors must be generally in good health; be at least 17 years old; weigh no less than 110 pounds; have not received a tattoo within the past year; and have not donated whole blood within the past 56 days.
