No matter what your partisan tendencies, the most important thing you can do next month is to vote on Nov. 7.
How many Northern Virginia voters go to the polls will likely determine the outcome of several closely contested races and important questions on the ballot. No matter what the outcome, strong voter turnout in Northern Virginia will force closer attention to the issues and needs in this part of the commonwealth.
Inside the Connection this week, we are printing the League of Women Voters Election Guide, with information on candidates, statewide Constitutional amendment questions and local ballot questions. More information is available at www.lwv-fairfax.org.
All the candidates answered extensive candidate questionnaires for the Connection. We printed excerpts last week, but the full text of those questionnaires is available at www.ConnectionNewspapers.com; click on Voter Guide 2006.
