Geneva Day School hosted an inter-cultural visit recently when Rong Zhou — who is vice chair of the Pre-School Education Development Center at Zhejiang University, one of the top 10 universities in China – spent two days at Geneva Day School to observe their age-appropriate, hands-on curriculum. Zhou wanted to learn how Geneva’s teachers create their learning environments, how parents are involved in the school, and how teachers and parents communicate. The Geneva Day School is located in Potomac and was established 42 years ago as an educational service to the community. The school provides a September-to-May education and an after-school enrichment program for 2-, 3- and 4-years-old, plus a pre-kindergarten and an all-day kindergarten program. It also provides a weekly camp program during the summer for ages 2 through 5.
