Over the weekend, more than 5,000 Dominion Virginia Power customers experienced power outages. Spokesperson Le-Ha Anderson said there were two main power outage sites, in Leesburg and west of Middleburg, in Loudoun County. Approximately 1,900 people experienced temporary loss of power at approximately 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 1, in the Middleburg area. From Leesburg to Waterford, 3,400 customers lost electricity around the same time.
Dominion restored power by 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 2.
