"Meet Me at the Manger" is a children’s musical teaching about the gifts of the wise men. As the children from Calvary Community Church begin singing in Herod’s Department Store, they are quickly forced to leave by the storeowner, Mr. Herod, as he claims they are distracting his customers. The kindly associate, Miss O’ Riley, escorts them to the Lighthouse Mission to be a part of their Christmas party. Through a series of events, and other characters such as the flamboyant Miss Ellie and chef Emerald, they learn that what God would really like from everyone is a pure heart. The play will be performed Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. at Great Falls United Methodist Church, 10100 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls. No tickets are needed; the performances are free, but donations are welcome. All are also welcome at the dress rehearsal Friday, Dec. 7, 7 p.m. Call 703-759-3705.
