A series of performances at Seneca Ridge Middle School Friday night highlighted several of the many cultures represented in the school. The Dominion High School Jazz Band and Sugarland Elementary School’s Wildcat Chorus also made appearances at Seneca Ridge’s fourth annual International Night.

Seneca Ridge eighth-grade dean Chuck Roberson said the school started the event because of its diversity. Seneca Ridge is about 20 percent Hispanic, 12 percent Asian and 8 percent black and its students come from a variety of national backgrounds.
