Paintings of winter scenes by 10 area artists will be on display at the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison St., S.E., Leesburg, through Feb. 27.
Loudoun artists Trisha Adams, Martha Cammack, Hope Hanes, Holly Peterson, Remington Restivo, Libby Stevens, Dana Thompson, Judith Thompson, Virginia Treviranus and Dan Williams are participating in the exhibit, which includes 14 paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel in a diverse range of styles. The artwork will be on display during regular business hours in the gallery, located on the first floor of the government center, between the Board of Supervisors meeting room and the Lovettsville Room.
The Loudoun Museum’s exhibit, "Nighty Night, Loudoun" displays bedtime and bedchamber artifacts from the museum’s collections. These objects, some of which are on display for the first time, include a mid-19th century King Solomon’s Temple Pattern quilt, women’s night wear from the late 19th and an early 20th century and a man’s nightshirt made from feed sacks.
