International Night at Cooper Middle School: food and performances from different countries, Thursday, March 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m. This event is organized by the Foreign Language Department and the PTA, and is open to the entire school. The planning committee is asking students and families to bring ethnic food to share that night. Great Falls Elementary School is preparing for the annual Fun Fair, which will be held on Sunday, March 25, noon-4 p.m. The school is looking for 8th grade volunteers who are interested in receiving community service hours. The Great Falls Art Center holds weekly art classes for all ages and stages at the Fouquet Art Studio on Walker Road in Great Falls. Children, ages 6 and up, teens, adults, and senior citizens, beginners and advanced may enroll for once weekly classes in drawing, oil painting, pottery, sculpture, and art history. For its 2006-2007 A+ Performance Series, the Robert Ames Alden Theatre has expanded the number of performances with reduced price tickets for area high school and college students. The cost of a student ticket averages less than half of the cost of a full-priced ticket. The Alden Theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean.

Student ticket prices are available for a number of selected upcoming erformances. Student tickets can only be purchased at the Alden Theatre Box Office. A student ID will be required. Call 703-790-0123, or visit www.mcleancenter.org.
