<sh>Volunteer for Stream Clean-ups

<bt>Great Falls residents can volunteer to clean up streams in their community on Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1.

The Great Falls Citizen Association is helping to coordinate the 19th Annual Alice Ferguson Foundation's Potomac River Watershed Cleanup. Volunteers are needed to come out and pick up trash on the day of the event. Site captains are also needed. A site captain chooses a cleanup site in advance, gets friends to volunteer to pick up trash, and leads the volunteers on the day of the cleanup.

Robin Rentsch and Stella Koch, co-chairs of the GFCA Environment Committee, will help find sites. All necessary materials for the day of the cleanup — such as trash bags, gloves, sign in sheets etc. will be provided. Go to the Web sites for directions on how to sign up: www.hardbargainfarm.org/trash_initiative/rc_sites.html, or contact Robin Rentsch at 703-759-5453, robrentsch@cox.net or Stella Koch at 703-628-6983, smkoch@aol.com.
