A lecture on "Conflict Resolution in Ancient Times, The Revolutionary Moral Vision of Isaiah and Jeremiah," will be presented by Professor Richard E. Rubenstein, Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 3 p.m. at the Arlington Public Library, 1015 N. Quincy St., Arlington. Dr. Rubenstein describes the evolution of our moral code and how the beautiful words of Isaiah and Jeremiah helped form our contemporary concepts of justice, ethics and faith. Saturday, Feb. 3

Seminar on Just War follows brief 9 a.m. mass, runs from 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More. The seminar, “What Makes a War Just—What makes Peace Possible” will examine Catholic teaching on war and peace it will address a spectrum of ethical issues on war and is open to all audiences.
