The Vienna Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a supermarket tour at Vienna’s Giant Food store, 359 Maple Ave., E, Wednesday, July 25, 5-6:30 p.m.

Registered dietician Denise Feil will teach participants how to read food nutrition labels and analyze ingredients to determine which food products are the healthiest. Cost for the tour is $30 for Town of Vienna residents, $37.50 for out-of-town participants. Call 703-255-6360.

Basic first aid and CPR/AED instruction will be offered on Saturday, July 28, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St., SE. Students will learn to deal with emergencies such as choking, cardiac arrest and physical injury, and those passing the exam at the end of the course will receive an American Safety and Health certification card valid for one year.

The cost for the class is $60 for Town of Vienna residents and $75 for out-of-town participants. Call the Vienna Parks and Recreation Department at 703-255-6360.
