Pamela de Ocampo, Cecilia Terrasa, and Michael Perez are three very good reasons to visit Las Tapas restaurant on King Street on Tuesday nights, since the owner has reinstituted Flamenco Nights.
The highly skilled dancing is breath-taking, and Perez displays musicianship of the highest order on his guitar.
Actually, the food is good too.
ALEXANDRIA IN CHINCOTEAGUE
Irene and Bill Rouse, whom old-timers will recall had a bookshop presenting poetry-readings in Alexandria in the ’60s, have sold their Chincoteague bookshop to Jonathan Richstein, a former neighbor of ours on Shooter's Hill. Like Irene, he specializes in obtaining out-of-print and antiquarian books through the magic of the Internet.
Nancy and Randolph Payne. artists who taught so long at St. Stephen’s, continue to display their entrancing work at a studio in Chincoteague.
