Colonial Camp for ages 6-10, presented by Historic Vienna, Inc., will be held on the grounds of the historic Freeman House on Church Street. Learn about life in Jamestown through games, storytelling, music, a treasure hunt and more. Camp will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11, noon-4:30 p.m. $20 for town residents. Call 703-255-6360.

Rebecca Barat from Madison High School is attending this summer’s Governor’s School for the Humanities at the University of Richmond. The four-week program is designed to encourage students’ individual growth and to challenge them to achieve personal excellence in their fields. To be selected to participate, students must be nominated by their high school and compete in a statewide selection process.

Elaine C. Dicicco, daughter of Barry and Jane Dicicco of Tradewind Drive in Oakton, recently performed on B-flat clarinet with the Kenyon College Symphonic Wind Ensemble in the college’s Rosse Hall auditorium. A graduate of Oakton High School, Dicicco is a first-year student at Kenyon.
