To mark Flag Day on Thursday, June 14, the Sons of the American Legion and Boy Scout Troop 1344 performed a traditional flag disposal ceremony at Springfield's American Legion Post 176. During the ceremony, worn-out flags are inspected and consigned to the fire. Troop 1344 is sponsored by Post 176.
