Easy (Chair) Rider

Film Review

Take "Tommy Boy," age it 20 years, remove David Spade and Chris Farley and insert Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy (!?) and you've got "Wild Hogs." (Rated: PG-13; Running Time: 99 min.) This mid-life crisis movie about four suburban bikers who set of on a road trip to reclaim their youth never quite hits the slapstick comedy target as well as "Tommy Boy," but it's still fun to see Tim Allen get hit in the nether-regions again. The cast doesn't quite have the chemistry that Spade and Farley had either; Lawerence seems especially out of place.

"Wild Hogs" is having a mid-life crisis of its own. It desperately wants to be the younger fun college film, but it's stuck in a tired suburbanite body.
