The Cedar Lane Elementary School PTA in Ashburn is offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior of 2007 who attended Cedar Lane and who is pursing an undergraduate degree. Applicants must have attended Cedar Lane.

The Allstate Foundation will be presenting a series of Safe Teen Driving programs at county schools. All presentations begin at 7 p.m. Parents and teens are encouraged to attend. This year Potomac Falls High School will be celebrating the school's 10-year anniversary at its annual Night at the Falls, April 14. This year's theme is "Panthers of the Caribbean" and the school is in search of hidden treasure for the Night at the Falls silent auction and raffle. Donations are tax deductible and all profits from this event go directly to support academic, athletic and extracurricular programs at Potomac Falls High School. Dominion High School is collecting formal dresses until April 21, as part of its Prom Dreams 2007 program, which community families participate in prom activities without the financial burden. Caitlin's Closet, a part of the Brunell Family Foundation, will be partnering with the school. Donations can be dropped off at the school, 21326 Augusta Drive, Sterling. Dresses will be modeled and distributed Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
A group of Belmont Ridge Middle School students completed the Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T) program and chose to help female victims of domestic violence as part of their community project.
The students collected gently used clothing and new toiletries such as toothbrushes and shampoo for LAWS to provide to victims who are staying at the shelter.
The Stone Bridge High School Student Activities Department is sponsoring the Loudoun Rewards Card, good for discounts at local businesses. Cost $20 at local businesses, and the card is good for one year, at many county businesses. Student activities will keep 50 percent of the profits of each card sold. The Broad Run High School Project Graduation Committee is selling raffle tickets. The cost of a ticket is $5, with a limit of 400 tickets available. One winner will receive $1,000. In recognition of student volunteerism, the Loudoun Volunteer Services (LVS) board has established scholarships for graduating seniors from each Loudoun County public and private high school and from the home-school community.
The scholarships recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the Loudoun County community through their volunteer efforts. Students should submit their scholarship applications to Loudoun Volunteer Services, MSC 03, 1 Harrison St., S.E., Leesburg, by the close of business May 1. Golfers and sponsors are encouraged to Tee off for the Titans at the second annual Dominion Classic, to be held Wednesday, May 16, at Lowes Island Country Club.
All proceeds from the tournament, held in conjunction with ATLAS (Association of Titan Leaders Assisting Students), will go toward funding student activities at Dominion High School.

Stone Bridge High School students won awards at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Shenandoah Region Competition Friday, March 9, at Shenandoah University in Winchester.
Capturing first-place awards were Jodi Davis, Introduction to Business Communications; Colby Caldwell, Tiffany Levy, Alyssa Jensen and Brooke Martin, Parliamentary Procedure Team.
Taking home second-place awards were Bryan Reilly, Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure; Korrin Allen-Cervantes and Catherine Christensen, American Enterprise Report.
Placing third were Maggie Hinson, Siatta Merchant, Kristen Pascale, Entrepreneurship Team; Randyl Fabian, Samantha Greenwood, Management Decision Making Team and Joshua Buckingham, Public Speaking I.
Two students were installed as Shenandoah Region FBLA officers; Colby Caldwell, Reporter, and Brooke Martin, Parliamentarian.
Stone Bridge adviser, David Palanzi, was recognized for his service as the Shenandoah Region Adviser.
