New Road Opens in Brambleton

Community promises easy road access, new amenities.

A large group of people stood in the middle of Northstar Boulevard Thursday, April 26, to officially open the road’s newest stretch of lanes. The section of road, which had opened to motorists the day before, connects Creighton Road and Ryan Road along the boulevard.

"This road is going a north-south road," Supervisor Stephen Snow (R-Dulles) said. "This road is eventually going to be a link to I-66. That’s what’s coming down the line."

In addition to the new road, the Brambleton Town Center will soon be home to the county’s newest movie theater. With 16 screens and 3,037 seats, including two 401-seat theaters where the newest releases will be shown, the 62,789-square-foot theater is scheduled to open in mid-June.

The theater will also have a 40-seat cafe area, with premium concessions, including Uno’s pizza said general manager Jimmy Hartman.
