Sheriff Releases Suspect Sketch

Authorities still investigating reported sexual assault.

The Sheriff’s Office released a sketch of the suspect in a rape reported in Ashburn two weeks ago.

Around 8 p.m. Saturday, April 28, a 16-year-old female said she was walking on a trail along Claiborne Parkway between Windmill Drive and the Greenway, when she was approached by an unknown male from behind. According to the Sheriff's Office, the suspect forced her into the woods along the trail and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect was described as a white male in his late teens to early 20s with brown eyes and short, black hair. He is said to be around 6 feet tall with a thin build. The suspect was also described as having very bad acne and acne scars. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black sweatpants at the time of the incident.

"We have a pretty good description of the suspect," Troxell said. "The one descriptive that may have stood out is he was wearing a really long T-shirt. One that came down to his knees, almost full-body length."

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Investigator D. Canham in the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475. To remain anonymous, contact Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. A cash reward of up to $1,000 could be given, if the information given to authorities leads to an arrest and indictment of the suspect.
