McLean High School Summer Institute is a four-evening program is an intensive workshop designed to improve your academic, time management and organization, critical thinking, and reading and writing skills. All sessions will be taught by MHS faculty members. New this year is the freshman transition strand for rising 9th graders and the Advanced Studies strand for students looking to get a leg up in Honors and AP level classes. Students interested in attending, can find registration forms and brochures at www.fcps.edu/McLeanHS and in the school’s main office. Spaces are limited, and the deadline for registration is Friday, June 1.
The deadline for submitting applications to Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology for the class of 2010 (10th grade) and the class of 2009 (11th grade) is Friday, June 1. Applications can be mailed but must be postmarked no later than June 1. Public and private school students who live in a participating school district and who meet applicable eligibility requirements may apply to TJHSST.
