A full day of festivities are planned for this year’s Slavic Cultural Festival, celebrating the cultures of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, <b>Saturday, Sept. 29</b>, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean. Those in attendance can sample the variety of authentic Slavic food and beverages, browse the arts and crafts workshop for children and learn more about Slavic businesses in the area during an expo of organizations and businesses that offer traditional and modern products and services. On stage at the festival, the Kazak Family Trio of Belarus, the Bandura Tells of Ukraine, and local organization, the Washington Balalaikas Society Orchestra are just a few of the many groups performing throughout the day. General Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 3-9. Free parking is available in the community center’s lot or at Dolley Madison Library. For more information, visit www.mcleancenter.org.
