A non-profit organization founded in 1970 by local religious organizations, it now has programs for more than 13,000 families in Reston, Herndon and the surrounding area. The organization works to help people in the area in need of food, shelter, child care and other human services to help them receive these services and become self-sufficient.
They feature various fundraisers, such as the Best of Reston Awards Gala and Rucker Memorial Golf Tournament. There is also an annual back-to-school drive to collect school supplies for students.
