Spiritual Workshop. The Spiritual Science Research Foundation presents a free workshop entitled "Role of the Spiritual Dimension and the Spiritual Master" from 1:15-3 p.m., July 13, at Reston Regional Library, 11925 Bowman Towne Drive. St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 432 Van Buren Street, Herndon, is offering join its annual Vacation Bible School, to all Herndon-area children 3 years old through rising 6th graders, July 14 - 18 from 9:30 a.m. 12 p.m. This year’s theme is "Rainforest Adventure: a Tree-top Bible Blast!" At Rainforest Adventure children will hear stories about Jesus, sing songs, make crafts, play some games, and make new friends. The fee for all five days is $25 per child. Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation recently began a support group, "When You Lose a Loved One," for congregants and members of the community who are in grief after the recent death of a loved one. The facilitated group, open to members of the community who are seeking bereavement support in a Jewish context, will continue to meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. at Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation, 1441 Wiehle Ave., Reston. Every Wednesday at 12:15 p.m., St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 432 Van Buren St. in Herndon, offers a lunch-time Healing and Holy Communion service. This half-hour service is offered to all and allows people an opportunity to worship during the work week when they may be away from their regular church. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive the Sacrament, and all who have not been baptized may receive a blessing at the Altar rail. Knitters needed the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 7 p.m. at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 432 Van Buren St., Herndon. The church's Shawl Ministry is offering free knitting instruction while providing shawls, blankets and other knitted items for people in need. No cost and yarn can be provided.
