<lst>The local Arbor Day Committee is sponsoring the 2008 Favorite Loudoun Tree Photo Contest. Photos should feature a single tree in the county. Entries may be black and white or color, and no larger than 8 ½ inches x 11 inches. A sheet of paper affixed to the back of the photo should include the name, address and phone number of the photographer, location of the tree, the kind of tree (if known) and the significance of the tree to the photographer. Entries should be submitted to the Arbor Day Committee c/o Loudoun Soil and Water Conservation District, 30 Catoctin Circle, S.E., Suite H; Leesburg, VA 20175. The deadline to enter is 5 p.m., Monday, March 24.

Gallery 222 presents "Inside Outside," a special exhibit of urban landscapes painted by Michael Beckner. The exhibit is a personal statement by the artist about man’s affect on the land. Thirteen senior artists are displaying their work at the Loudoun County Government Center in Leesburg during March and April. Participating artists include Jillian Cox, Lilia A. Dinneny, Jan Hundshamer, Jean Kipfer, Ruth Legard, Robert Mayer, Pat Miller, Mike Murphy, Emily Newton, Margaret Ramey, Fran Schmitt, Richard Simms and Mokhtar Youssef, all county residents. Teens volunteer to put on a Children’s Fairy Tale Play, Tuesdays, 5-6:30 p.m., through April 22 at Ashburn Library, 43316 Hay Road, Ashburn. <lst> Falcons Landing Continuing Care Retirement Community in Potomac Falls will host a free concert featuring the vocal group The Treble Clefs, Sunday, March 30, at 3 p.m. in the Falcons Landing auditorium. This concert will include several love songs, selections from Phantom of the Opera, "Time to Say Goodbye," vocal solos and some surprises.

The College Community Theater presents "The Foreigner" by Larry Shue, directed by Dave Wright. The production centers around two English friends that turn a fishing lodge upside down. The show will run from April 4-19.
