The Reston-Herndon Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will begin its 7th mentoring season for elementary school girls starting in late September. The organization is looking for volunteers to fill the role. Volunteers work one-on- one with students for 90 minutes each Tuesday after school hours at a Reston school. Fairfax County is recruiting Meals on Wheels volunteers to deliver meals to the county’s older residents. Opportunities are available throughout the county and volunteers are matched to programs in or near their own neighborhoods.
