Vienna Leaf Collection: second of four passes through town. Begins Nov. 3 on the north side of town. All leaves must be at the curbside prior to the first scheduled collection day for each pass through your area. Leaf collection crews may take several days to finish in an area, but they will only pass your address once during each collection period. Vienna Teen Center School’s Out Fun Days, Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 3 and 4. Club Phoenix will be open from 12- 6:30 p.m. both days with lots of fun things to do. For information, call 703-255-6360.

Personal Safety for Women will be held at the Vienna Community Center in four parts from 7 to 10 p.m. Specially trained police officers along with several local volunteers will teach women to be alert and mindful of their personal safety. Escape and response techniques are demonstrated in practical scenarios as well as several non-physical techniques to help women stay safe. The fee is $5 for town residents plus a $15 materials fee. AARP driver safety program for motorists age 50 and older, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St., S.E. The two-day course will continue on Monday, Nov. 10, and cover the effects of aging and medications on driving, basic driving rules, license renewal, local traffic hazards, adverse road conditions and accident prevention measures. Town of Vienna Cleanup Day, sponsored by Vienna’s Community Enhancement Commission, will be held rain or shine from 9-11 a.m. Individuals, families, and community service groups are invited to participate in making Vienna a more beautiful community. Clean up your own neighborhood, or be assigned an area of town that needs attention. Check in at the Vienna Community Center on Cleanup Day to receive garbage bags and gloves.
