More than a year ago, 180 National Guardsmen from Charlie Company/23rd BN assigned to the Leesburg Armory left to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom. To welcome home the Guardsmen, and to thank them and their families for their service, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce and Loudoun Cares led a campaign to raise funds and gift certificates to area restaurants and shops. The result, more than $112,500 in financial contributions and more than $84,000 in gifts certificates to area restaurants, hotels, golf courses, shops and concert tickets.

Speros, former owner of the CFL's Baltimore Stallions and Montreal Alouettes, as well as a former NFL coach with the Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills, plans to transform the 6,000-square-foot facility, located in the Great Falls Plaza Shopping Center across from Lowes Island, into an upscale
sports restaurant and bar.

WFN Strategies of Sterling was recently contracted for the provision of cable identification support for ExxonMobil's BlueOcean Energy project, a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving terminal that will create a gateway to global supplies of clean-burning natural gas to help meet the growing energy needs of New Jersey and New York. The BlueOcean Energy project is anchored approximately 20 miles off the coast of New Jersey, will cost more than $1 billion terminal, and be far from shore and away from shipping lanes, ports and recreational areas.
