The Democratic Women of Clifton are active in Democratic politics and also enjoy getting together socially. All Democratic women in Northern Virginia are welcome to participate. Co-chairmen are Jane Blechman and Jane Barker. Meetings are held during the school year, Sundays from 3-5 p.m., at the Clifton Community Hall. <bt>* The Western Fairfax Republican Women's Club meets every third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Sully District Governmental Center, 4900 Stonecroft Blvd. in Chantilly. There's a guest speaker, plus political discussions and planning of community projects throughout the year. The next meeting is Aug. 20. <bt>The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts more than 150 events per year, drawing 50,000 people. Members can participate in a Business Expo, Tech Breakfast, Friday Night Live!, or be an event sponsor. The Chamber has one of the oldest, most successful school-business partnerships in Virginia, including a Business Scholarship program available to dependents or employees. There is a wide range of member-to-member product and service discounts for a business. Meet directly with experts at seminars, on field trips or in mentorship programs. Take advantage of SBA (Small Business Administration) and Fairfax County Economic Development Authority contacts. Make a difference and demonstrate civic pride and involvement on a committee.
