<sh>Capital Cabaret

<bt>* Capital Cabaret is a new song-and-dance group featuring some of the area’s most talented performers. It performs show tunes from many famous Broadway musicals.

“Americans invented musical theater and so many of us grew up with it,” said producer Elaine Wilson. “It’s a toe-tapping show and the type of thing people love because it has music from all the eras.”

The group is comprised of Westfield High Theater Director Scott Pafumi; and Alliance Theatre veterans Jim Mitchell, Charlie Manship and Annie Ermlick, all of Centreville; and Cathy Arnold, Stacy Crickmer and Joe Philipoom, all of Chantilly.

Both Crickmer and Ermlick do the choreography, and Manship accompanies the vocalists on the keyboard. Mitchell’s son Pat, a Westfield High graduate, is in charge of sound, and Chantilly High graduate Lori Hubbard does the lighting.

Capital Cabaret will perform at conventions, schools, conferences, club meetings, community events, retirement communities and fund-raisers. And Philipoom will write custom songs for people’s special occasions.
