Festival Celebrates Reston’s 45th Birthday

Celebrate Reston's 45th Birthday at Reston Festival, Saturday, July 11, from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday, July 12, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. at The Reston Town Center.

2009 Music Headliners:

* Sunday, July 12 at 5:30 p.m. - Chuck Brown, undisputed founder of go-go music.

* Saturday, July 11 at 8 p.m. - Bring your dancing shoes and join a full evening of entertainment with The Grandsons, whose sound is described as "American music in a blender with the lid off".

The Reston Festival Committee is trying to make the festival greener this year by encouraging festival attendees to come to the event by bicycle, instead of driving a car, by having a free parking service for bicycles at Reston Town Center. The Committee in cooperation with Fairfax Advocates for Better Bicycling (FABB), The Bike Lane, bikes@vienna and Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA), will provide free secure bicycle valet parking at the festival for the first time. The valet parking concept involves having a separate, secure area for people to park their bikes while they attend the festival.
