English Classes. Registration is in session for English classes for adult foreign nationals. The classes are offered in 16 locations in Northern Virginia. The Literacy Council of Northern Virginia (LCNV) helps adults learn to read, write, speak and understand English through one-to-one tutoring programs and English classes. </b>Art Classes. Springfield Art Guild and Lorton Arts Foundation member Maureen Wolford teaches classes that focus on enhancing and refining basic drawing and painting techniques involving color, perspective and shading. </b>Emergency Preparedness Clinics. The American Red Cross of the National Capital Area's Fairfax/Falls Church Office and the Fairfax County Citizen Corps Council sponsor monthly Emergency Preparedness Clinics. Participants will learn how to make a kit to help through the first 72 hours of a local or regional emergency.
