Road to Independence Gala. 5:30-10 p.m., Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, 7920 Jones Branch Drive, McLean. Volunteers are needed for The Northern Virginia Family Service’s annual "Road to Independence Gala," a fundraising event to help low income-individuals and families to become self-sufficient, will be held. Volunteers are needed to assist staff with registration, drawings, silent auctions and setup and clean up. Sandwiches and refreshments will be available for all volunteers. Must be 16 to volunteer.
