Reflections’ entries on display.

Fort Hunt Elementary School recently recognized 42 students who participated in this year’s PTA Reflections Program. The theme for this year’s program was "WOW," and those who had the opportunity to view the students’ work shared the sentiment of the principal, Carol Coose: "WOW, Ft. Hunt students, you are the best."

Reflections, a creative arts program of the National PTA, provides an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through the visual arts, photography, literature, musical composition, dance choreography, or film/video production.

This year, 42 Fort Hunt students submitted a total of 55 original entries. In November, 12 entries were selected by local judges to advance to the Fairfax County level of judging to compete with student entries from other Fairfax County schools. Five Outstanding Interpretation recipients advanced to the District level of judging where they competed with student from Alexandria, Arlington, and Falls Church schools. At the District level, two Fort Hunt students received award recognition. Following is a list of the local, county and district award winners from Fort Hunt Elementary School.
