Dabash Negash of Chantilly was accepted to be an intern in the White House Internship Program for the fall 2009 session.

The program's mission is to make the "People's House" accessible to future leaders all around the nation and cultivate and prepare those devoted to public service for future leadership opportunities.

Centreville Elementary School is hosting a Welcome Back Picnic on Friday, Sept. 11 from 5-8 p.m. Ten restaurants will provide alternatives to a bring your own picnic dinner. Many community resources will be available such as Boy and Girl Scouts, SYA, Centreville Library, Fairfax Fire and Police, and more. The staff band, The Flock of Eagles, will be headlining the evening.
