Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia announces the opening of a new Restore on Monday, Sept. 21, in Chantilly. ReStore is a resale business that sells new and used building materials and home improvement items to the general public. All materials are donated by local retail businesses, building contractors, suppliers and individuals, and are made available for sale to the public at 50 percent to 90 percent below retail prices. All proceeds benefit the work of Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia.
The Habitat ReStore benefits all members of the community. Not only does it provide a space for donors to dispose of perfectly good materials, it prevents waste from filling up landfills, provides a wonderful place for people to volunteer their time and energy and most of all brings in revenue for the Northern Virginia affiliate of Habitat for Humanity.
