In February, Fairfax Resolves President Jack Sweeney, supported by chapter Color Guard members Larry McKinley, Dan Rolph and Darrin Schmidt, presented the Oak Hill Elementary School Principal Dr. Amy Goodloe and Assistant Principal Phyllis Sledge SAR Flag Certificates. This was in recognition of their emphasis on teaching the importance of displaying the American Flag. Also recognized were the teacher Safety Patrol leaders, Elizabeth Price and Ernie Herring. The four Safety Patrol Captains were also awarded SAR Good Citizenship certificates and pins for their daily flag duties. McKinley explained the Children of the American Revolution and the Color Guard answered questions about their Revolutionary War uniforms.
