Golf Tournament to Benefit Wounded Warrior Transitional Housing Project

The Navy Marine Coast Guard Residence Foundation (NMCGRF) will host its 26th Annual Golf Classic at Reston National Golf Course on Tuesday, May 8, and golfers are invited to participate.

NMCGRF holds an annual golf tournament to raise funds in support of Vinson Hall Retirement Community’s Mission to ensure that residents are offered the finest quality of care and service, as well as to provide a comfortable environment fostering dignity, friendship and security.

The proceeds from this year’s event will be used to support the Wounded Warrior Transitional Housing Project, which will allow several apartments at Vinson Hall to be renovated to meet the unique needs of wounded veterans returning home from war, who require residential support in an accommodating environment.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and the tournament will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun scramble. The registration fee of $150 includes the greens fee for 18 holes of golf, cart use, continental breakfast, lunch buffet and all beverages. A portion of the registration fee is tax-deductible.

Golfers who participate will win the satisfaction of contributing to a worthwhile cause. Prizes will be awarded to the foursome with the first and second low score, the longest drive and closest to the pin.

Sponsorship opportunities are available, allowing companies an opportunity to promote themselves at this traditionally well-attended outing to many area professionals. Levels of sponsorship vary from $5,000 to $1,000, and benefits include logo and name recognition on several different platforms, program ads, and complimentary registrations.
