Daisy Troops Plant Commemorative Tree

The Daisy Troops of Vienna planted a tree in honor of the 100 year celebration of the Girl Scouts and the anniversary of foundress Juliete Gordon Low's birthday, Wednesday, Oct. 31.

As part of the 100 year celebration of Girl Scouts, one of the Daisy Troops led by Sheila Riberiro at the Antioch Christian Church of Vienna planted a tree to honor the Girl Scout foundress Juliette Gordon Low, whose birthday is also Wednesday, Oct. 31. This tree was planted to replace a tree that recently came down at the church. The planting took place on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. One of the troop parents, Joe Cacciapaglia, is a certified arborist and helped oversee the tree planting.
