Churchill Road School welcomed more than 800 students and 100 staff members for the 2012-2013 school year. Among the new faces at Churchill are fourth grade teacher Aubrey Beiswenger and fifth grade teacher Louis Depa. Both are graduates of Penn State University, who shared some education classes. The two teachers independently applied to the same FCPS school. Beiswenger is “enjoying being in Fairfax County” after living in State College, Pennsylvania her entire life. After her first week, she is amazed with the high level of parent involvement and the resources available to new teachers.
