From Chantilly to New York

— The Missionary Ministry of Chantilly Baptist Church, where the Rev. Dr. Jerry L. Bryant is the pastor, reached out to the residents in the Redfern Housing Development located in Far Rockaway, N.Y. after Hurricane Sandy.

A clothing drive as well as basic essentials was collected from church members and friends of Chantilly Baptist Church. These items were transported to the area via cargo van. A few members and friends of the Missionary Ministry traveled to New York to share these items with the residents of the community.

Diana Hodge, president of CBC Missionary Ministry presented a check on behalf of Chantilly Baptist Church Missionary Ministry for $1,000 to the Jamaica Long Island District, Hurricane Sandy relief fund, to the Rev. Henrietta Fullard, Presiding Elder.

More than 300 residents came to receive the goods.
