The 2 Young Foundation, formed after Vienna’s Brian Bedell’s death due to a brain tumor, holds the annual Wiffle Ball World Series in Vienna on Saturday, Aug. 3, to raise funds for brain cancer research.

When Brian Bedell died from a brain tumor, his friends and family members wanted a way to fight the cancer back. Ten years ago, they established the Wiffle Ball Tournament through the 2 Young Foundation, with the purpose of raising money for brain cancer research at Duke.

This year’s tournament is slated for Saturday, Aug. 3, at Waters Field. It’s an all day event with everything from children’s activities like a moon bounce and face painting to a huge Wiffle Ball tournament of over 40 teams for both youngsters and adults.

The tournament is still run by Bedell’s friends and family, who try to raise as much money as possible in his memory every year. For more information go to 2yf.org.
