Vienna Farmers Market to Host Special Programs

Vienna Saturday Farmers Market, open from 8 a.m. to noon at 301 Center Street South in Vienna, in addition to all the local fresh fruit and produce will host a special program on Aug. 3: TJ Michael will be creating balloon artistry for the kids and PRC, a local nonprofit, will be providing free literature and information about mental health to the community. On Aug. 10, the local Vienna Volunteer Fire Department (Station #2) will be providing free blood pressure checks at the market and information as well. Wine Spectator Honors Bazin’s on Church

Bazin’s on Church Restaurant, located on historic Church Street in Vienna, was named a recipient of Wine Spectator’s 2013 Award of Excellence. With over 450 selections of wine on their wine list and over 2,200 wines in inventory, this 85 seat restaurant offers a variety of wines to complement their seasonal American cuisine. Chef/owner Patrick Bazin personally oversees the purchasing of his inventory and frequently updates the list. The wine list includes a collection of wines from around the world , with an emphasis on California and Oregon. Bazin’s on Church offers five-course prix fixe wine dinners throughout the year showcasing quality wines, most always with the vineyard owner or winemaker in attendance.
