Churchill Road second graders are about to begin their study of monarch butterflies. Students in Cheryl Bamdad’s class welcomed some very tiny monarch caterpillars. The students made sure that the caterpillars had plenty of milkweed to eat. Over the next several weeks, the students will observe the transition from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly, before releasing the monarch’s in the school’s butterfly garden.
