Del. Alfonso Lopez (D-Arlington) has been named the new Minority Whip of the Virginia House Democratic Caucus. As the Whip, he will assist the Democratic Leader in organizing floor advocacy and committee policy and messaging strategies during the General Assembly Session.
Lopez is currently serving his second term representing the 49th District in the House of Delegates, which includes parts of South Arlington and eastern Fairfax County.
