Fairfax County Police are investigating the relationship between a 49-year-old man who was shot in a residence in the 8300 block of Brockham Drive and a possible suspect.
Police responded to a report of the shooting just before midnight on Dec. 18.
The two men were reportedly acquaintances and visiting together at the residence when they began arguing and one shot the other in the upper body.
Police said the suspect fled after the shooting and was described as a black male, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and bearing a handgun.
