On Oct. 29, police announced a 17-year-old from the Huntington area was charged with the murder of Khalid Aboumalik, 42. Aboumalik’s body was found in Huntington Park on Aug. 5 with wounding and trauma to his upper body.
The unnamed juvenile suspect and Aboumalik knew each other, police said. He was already detained in the Fairfax County jail for charges of robbing the victim.
