The entire fifth grade at Churchill Road Elementary decided that they wanted to help other who are less fortunate by trick or treating for UNICEF on Halloween. The 147 fifth graders raised a total of $780. The funds they raised will go a long way toward improvements. It will pay for a pump to give clean water to an entire village; provide malaria and measles protection for 100 children and cover five days of food for a malnourished child. Jill Hamlin’s class raised the most per student – an average of more than $10 and was rewarded for their efforts with a special donut breakfast.
