Malicious Wounding - 8600 block of Westwood Center Drive, at about 2 a.m. The victims were walking in the parking lot of a shopping center and were approached by two men. The suspects assaulted the victims and fled in a vehicle. The suspects were described as black and in their 20s.

Robbery - 2900 block of Cedar Lane. Dec. 29, 1:25 a.m. A 26-year-old man, operating a tow truck, parked in front of a 7-Eleven store and went inside. He returned to his truck and shortly thereafter, was approached by a man who displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and was not injured. The suspect fled on foot. K9 responded and tracked the suspect’s path east, toward the 8600 block of Lee Highway. The suspect was described as being black, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. He was wearing all black clothing and a black mask covering his face.

Embezzlement/Assault on Law Enforcement/Resisting Arrest/Arrest - 1500 block of Cornerside Boulevard, Dec. 22 around 4:10 p.m. A 30-year-old woman from Washington, D.C., was arrested for stealing items from her workplace. When officers attempted to talk to her, she refused and walked away. The suspect struck one officer in the face as he tried to stop her and fled on foot. She was located at a nearby Metrorail station and apprehended. She was taken to jail and charged with embezzlement, assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

Larceny/Possession of Burglarious Tools - 1961 Chain Bridge Rd. Dec. 23, 4:10 p.m. (CATT) The Christmas Anti-Theft Team was called to the Abercrombie and Fitch Store for a subject that had been taken into custody by a loss prevention officer. During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that A 56-year-old man of Washington, D.C had been in the store, put on a coat and allegedly destroyed the anti-theft detection device and then left the store without paying. During the search incident to the arrest, tools were found on the suspect’s person that might have been used to facilitate the theft. He was charged with petit larceny and possession of burglarious tools.
