Pets Bring Joy Awarded Chocolate Lovers Festival Grant

Pets Bring Joy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue/adoption organization, is one of three recipients of a 2016 City of Fairfax Chocolate Lovers Festival Grant. Each year, in anticipation of Valentine’s Day, the City of Fairfax Chocolate Lovers Festival Committee hosts a fundraising event celebrating chocolate and donates all proceeds from the event to charitable organizations as a way of thanking them for their contribution to the community. Also receiving the award this year are the City of Fairfax Police Department’s Child Safety Program and the Fairfax Lions Club Eyeglass Recycling Program.

The event is being held in various venues throughout the City of Fairfax on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 6-7. For more information, visit chocolatefestival.net. The Pets Bring Joy (PBJ) table will be located in the City of Fairfax Library, on Saturday from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. and on Sunday from 1–4 p.m.
